What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen host company?

I have worked at a startup and at a Fortune 500 company, I have seen both sides of the coin, and thrived in both cultures. I can build/enhance social media strategies, and identify ways to optimize business processes. While I learn a lot from the host company, I can share the processes and business flows I have been following in my jobs.

Companies that have created global communities and are facilitating skill provisioning through them My aim in life is to foster the developer community as a whole and empower women in STEM to be more visible in my country.

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

My current challeng with Devenings growth is limited exposure. Mentorship is integral to developing both foresight and hindsight, a feat almost impossible to achieve in Pakistan without the exposure of the TechWomen program. While I have garnered a community of over 2,500 members since 2019 and continue to host meetups, I feel that TechWomen mentorship will help make this community global and aid in finding jobs in the tech industry for more people. I can always engage with and invite the women I meet through this program to contribute their wisdom and build stronger partnerships and collaborations.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

The literacy rate in Pakistan, despite having improved in the last few years, remains deplorable. People who have acquired education have entered the post-literacy state where they are not aware of the technological advancements and how these can optimize their businesses. I am working towards improving this through Devenings. Even though there has been an impact, I believe a program such as TechWomen 2022, where I'll meet women already empowered in their chosen fields, will provide me with the guidance that I need to enhance Devenings to its full potential.
