What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

In the TechWomen mentorship program, I bring strong communication skills that foster collaboration and clear understanding within the team. My quick learning ability and adaptability allow me to integrate seamlessly into new projects and contribute innovative ideas. Coupled with my business acumen, I can grasp strategic goals and provide valuable insights. My goal is to create a mutually beneficial partnership where I learn from my mentor's experience while offering my perspectives. Together, we can achieve success and make a meaningful impact, leveraging our combined strengths to drive projects forward and attain our shared objectives.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Explore how VR technology can be used to address challenges and create opportunities in Rwanda.
  2. Learn methods for leveraging digital media to empower women entrepreneurs.
  3. Improve public speaking and team leadership skills.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Present my current work to professionals in my industry
  • Expand on a project that I’m working on in my current role at home
  • Have exposure to specialized industry techniques

Ideal Company Type

My ideal mentor is someone who possesses a deep technical understanding, strong data analysis skills, and a comprehensive grasp of business practices. This combination would provide me with invaluable guidance as I navigate the intersection of VR and data-driven business strategies.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Ambitious
  2. Determined
  3. Empathetic

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

Mentorship through the TechWomen program offers significant career and personal growth. It will broaden my professional network, providing valuable connections and access to resources. This experience will challenge me to step out of my comfort zone, adopt new perspectives and develop a global outlook. Interacting with a mentor who is a leader will refine my leadership skills and enhance my professional profile, demonstrating my commitment to growth. Most importantly, the mentorship will empower and inspire me to pursue ambitious goals, contribute to my community, and potentially mentor others, equipping me to make a significant impact in my field.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

Participating in the TechWomen program offers valuable knowledge, skills and networks that I plan to use to empower women and girls in my community. After TechWomen, I will establish tech clubs in three secondary schools in Nyarugenge to foster interest in technology among young girls. This initiative aims to break stereotypes and encourage girls to pursue tech careers. Additionally, I will mentor women in tech-oriented businesses, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Collaborating with TechWomen alumnae, I will amplify our impact by sharing success stories and opportunities, fostering a supportive community and inclusive tech ecosystem.
