What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

As a Ph.D. student focused on AI and Cybersecurity, I am now working on how to help mobile money users avoid phishing attacks by developing an intelligent tool based on imitation learning and data science, which aims to mimic human behavior in a given task. My mentorship will help me through training and professional mentorship to benefit from knowledge and experience in technology to reach my full potential in the tech industry. On the other hand, it will allow me to create a great impact in my region by increasing the percentage of women and young girls in the STEM fields.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

My TechWomen experience will help better train people on hands-on learning ICT tools, web programming and initiation to artificial intelligence through my initiative called Adamawa Code Kids. I will utilize advice, lessons learned, and personal experiences shared by Techwomen mentors to innovate and establish further initiatives for women and young girls in my community and change people's mindsets through awareness of all the doors computer science can open for women. I will also run seminar sessions in universities with other mentors to give women and girls who have chosen STEM careers the benefits of exploring IT.
