The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Acquire knowledge about innovative tools related to my field of expertise
  2. Learn about different business models for growth assessment
  3. Experience authentic humanitarian values beyond the latest technologies and global business

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Attend company-wide meetings and/or team meetings
  • Visit an office or attend a site-visit
  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Focus on technical skills building
  • Expand on a project that I’m working on in my current role at home

Ideal Company Type

During my mentorship, I am looking to be exposed to the different aspects of public health, business and learning and development. My desired industry is disability assistive technologies including nutrition, education, and inclusion. An ideal company would be medium size, with people-oriented culture and a focus on disabilities and human development.

Certifications

  • Board Certified Nutrition Support Pharmacist - Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS)
  • Certified Professional Trainer - American University in Cairo (AUC)
  • Clinical Scholars Research Training Certificate - Harvard Medical School (HMS)

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Disciplined
  2. Team Player
  3. Self-starter

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

As an entrepreneur, I believe that exposure to such a rich environment will create a wider vision of the Down Enablement Program as a business and in its social impact. As a Clinical Nutritionist, discovering the new technologies and reading the updated medical language through expert eyes will help every patient as it will open new horizons in both my humanity and my profession.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

I am a mother, university lecturer, Community leader, Nutritionist, entrepreneur, and learning and development manager. I will leverage the technological tools and innovative ideas I encounter to feed every role I play, as a professional person or social butterfly, and its community. I intend to be a positive transformational milestone in every aspect of my community starting from my daughter and students to work colleagues.
