What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

My most valuable contribution to my TechWomen mentorship will be my expertise in developing innovative STEM education programs tailored for women and girls. I bring a wealth of knowledge in curriculum design, instructional methodologies and empowerment strategies. Additionally, I can offer insights into leveraging technology to bridge gender gaps in STEM fields and foster inclusive learning environments. Furthermore, I can share tips on Polarity Management, demonstrating how effectively managing inherent tensions enables success in business and projects by fostering adaptability, resilience and holistic problem-solving approaches.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Gain insights into innovative approaches to STEM education and empowerment.
  2. Develop advanced leadership and communication skills to drive meaningful change.
  3. Expand my network and collaborate with like-minded professionals to amplify impact globally.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Have exposure to the company culture
  • Visit an office or attend a site-visit
  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Expand on a project that I’m working on in my current role at home
  • Exposes me to new tools and platforms

Ideal Company Type

My ideal mentor match would thrive in a dynamic tech industry, preferably within an innovative company known for its forward-thinking approach and commitment to diversity and inclusion. I envision a mentor from a medium to large-sized organization with a focus on cutting-edge technologies and a culture that values collaboration, continuous learning and empowering women in STEM fields. Their company's ethos should align with my passion for leveraging technology to drive positive change through EdTech solutions and fostering inclusive environments for all.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Innovative
  2. Collaborative
  3. Adaptable

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

I anticipate that collaborating with a U.S.-based mentor will offer me the chance for transformative growth. Their guidance will help me enhance our virtual STEM labs at Blue Sands Academy, reaching more students globally. As a Frontend Developer, I am eager to refine my skills further. With their mentorship, I hope to create even better educational technology experiences. Together, we can make a real impact in empowering women, girls and diverse communities. This collaboration is not just about career growth—it is also about making a difference in people's lives through technology and education.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After participating in the TechWomen program, I will launch the "Women in Tech Nigeria" program, aiming to empower 1,000 women through targeted training initiatives. This program will include organizing hackathons and coding boot camps across major cities in Nigeria and establishing partnerships with local tech companies to provide internship opportunities for participants. Additionally, I will collaborate with international organizations to benchmark and align policy recommendations, advocating for increased government support for STEM education and women in technology.
