The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Cultivating my leadership skills by watching deep tech company leaders and their day-to-day activities
  2. Sharing our current offering at Larimar with the partnering company to get their advise and discuss who we can collaborate
  3. Learning new tools and techniques in the health tech industry, AI & ML, and the lean approach to boost Larimar's growth

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Attend company-wide meetings and/or team meetings
  • Present my current work to professionals in my industry
  • Expand on a project that I’m working on in my current role at home
  • Have exposure to specialized industry techniques

Ideal Company Type

The optimal company is the one that is genuinely concerned about its employee's well-being and where employees feel safe and heard. This company will have a culture that supports my growth and allows me to implement my current work, so that I can propose my work as a pilot project. Would love to be in a health tech and analytics company with a focus on emotion detection, that is agile in its management style, just like startups.

Programming Languages

  • MATLAB
  • Python

Additional Technical Skills

I developed UX/UI design expertise and now I can handle designing simple product wireframes. As well I am actively working on developing skills in regard to, agile software development schema and working and managing AWS accounts with hands-on experience on some of their Machine Learning tools.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Reliable
  2. Empathetic
  3. Visionary

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

Working and learning from other female leaders is priceless as I'll acquire accumulated knowledge from diverse expertise to boost my technical and entrepreneurial paths. However, their journeys matter the most; meaning the learned lessons, setbacks, and rewards are what I am looking forward to learning. I'll be able to reflect on my own journey to navigate it with ease. Also, sharing my startup offering and conducting some of the practices with them will provide insights for improvement and recommendations to connect with potential partners or advocates who can support our vision. Also, the program will provide me with worldwide credibility.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

I am a mentor by nature and I believe in sharing elite knowledge with others, so first I'll be happy to host TechWomen enthusiasts in a webinar to encourage them to participate and tell them how can they harness the best of it. Sharing connections that are beneficial for entrepreneurs is another way of contributing to the Jordanian ecosystem. As we'll be learning technical or entrepreneurial practices based on the US standard which is one of the top standards, thus, I'll be sharing and implementing these in my incubator (the [email protected]), then the university, then my wider network of entrepreneurs.
