During the 2019 program, Emerging Leaders (ELs) developed action plans to address a socioeconomic challenge in their local communities. Each country cohort was paired with Impact Coaches to guide the group through the action plan process. At Action Plan Workshop 1, ELs identified issues in their home countries and began to build a blueprint for their action plan. Each group further developed their action plan and presented their ideas for feedback at Action Plan Workshop 2. Teams perfected their pitches at Action Plan Workshop 3. At Pitch Day, each of the 21 teams shed light on their community challenge and presented innovative solutions based on their collective knowledge, skills and newfound resources. Judges evaluated each action plan based on potential for impact, sustainability and scale. The top five teams – Team Jordan, Team Libya, Team Nigeria, Team Pakistan and Team Zimbabwe – were announced at the Community Celebration and received a $3,000 seed grant to kick-start implementation of their project.
Below you can find a brief description of the 21 action plans developed by TechWomen 2019 participants. If you are interested in connecting with any of these groups, please email [email protected] to facilitate discussions.
